A gorgeous apartment-house (condo style) nicely decorated in Bromont in the Eastern Townships, in the heart of Bromont Old Village and close to the main street with all the services and restaurants.
The house is 125m² on one level and has 2 bedrooms (one with 190cm bed and one with 150cm bed), 2 bathrooms (1 bathtub and 2 showers), kitchen, dining-room, living room, office room with computer, a deck with BBQ and an indoor garage with two parking spaces for the car.
The house is fully equipped with air conditioning and heating, fireplace, stove with ceramic surface, refrigerator and freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, microwave, vacuum cleaner, cable TV, CD and DVD player, unlimited access to Internet, community pool in summer season.
Bromont is well located in the heart of the Eastern Townships, a region of small valleys with nice villages, lakes and mountains. Access is easy to the Autoroute that links Montreal and Sherbrooke (both accessible in about 45 minutes). Bromont is a small vacation town with about 7500 people (one of the well-known ski resorts in Quebec: see http://www.skibromont.com). In the area you can have activities in the summer time such as golf (12 golf courses in the immediate area), touring or mountain biking, water slides, horse riding, hiking and in the winter time, activities such as downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and skidoo. It is a nice village with good restaurants and all the basic stores you need. In the Fall, the colors of the trees are absolutely magnificient.
Montreal can be accessed within less than one hour from Bromont and offer many places of interest: Old Montreal and the Old Port area, animated streets like Ste-Catherine and St-Denis, Mount-Royal Park for hiking, biking or city viewing, Downtown Montreal with its major stores and boutiques, the underground Montreal linking downtown shopping centers.
Lots of activities to do as well in Montreal : Theaters, movie theaters, museums, Botanical Garden, Biodome, Planetarium, Olympic stadium, multi-ethnic restaurants, shopping, biking paths network in the Greater Montreal.
Bromont is the gateway to the Eastern Townships region. There are a lot of interesting sites to visit in this region : Magog and Memphremagog Lake, Mount Orford National Park, Sherbrooke City and his network of biking trails, nice villages like North Hatley, Coaticook, Knowlton, Sutton, Dunham and Frelishburg.
We are only two people
Jacqueline (70 years old, retired nurse) and Jean-Louis (72 years old, retired and gardener on a seasonal basis).
We share our time between hiking, biking, cross-country skiing or snowshoeing, meeting friends, crossword puzzle and Sudoku, reading and traveling a few times a year.
(Jean-Louis) have already exchanged houses many times before. My new partner and I are looking for new house exchange experiences.
